This stone sculpture is the work of Cai Yujie, a young Chinese sculptor. He use the traditional Chinese sculptural language to show the local and folk customs of his hometown Leizhou: including Dragon dance, Climbing the knife ladder, Piercing the arrow and so on. Different from the delicate art commodities of the moment, Cai's works process rough granite in a simple way. Just like his ancesto, he seems to have no sharp tools to face the hard stone. He uses his hands to communicate with nature. Trying to make the stone as the object not only the carrier of the story, but also the imprint of his physical work. This kind of creation method of forgetting oneself has a kind of primitive sacrificial atmosphere like the ancient folk customs the work carries. It contai a huge vitality that is endless.
