Originally carved out of fragrant sandalwood, the sculpture represents Hindu god Krishna recognisable by his characteristic peacock feather crown, who is often accompanied by his beloved Radha the Gopi (milkmaid).Radha-Krishna (IAST rādhā-k???a) are collectively known within Hinduism as the combined forms of feminine as well as the masculine realities of God. Hindus believe that Krishna enchants the world, but Radha enchants even him.
