Mounting bracket for mounting a 100mm LED COB light for car headlights. These were sold with the 12-24V current control so I could just plug them in parallel with the extruder fan, until I take the time to pass additional wiring to the extruder to allow separate LED control. I got a set of two, which are mirror images of each other, hence the two LedRing STLs. These were sold as 100mm outer and 90mm inner diameter. The exact title was US 2X 100mm HID White 117 COB LED 12-24V Angel Eyes Halo Ring Fog Housing Lamp. It was a good deal for two and now I have a spare. The stand offs give the ring about 20mm (3/4 in) clearance from the nozzle tip. For simple wiring just connect them with the extruder fan. The LEDs come on when extruder starts warming up and turn off when the extruder cools down. Revision After staring at the printer with the lights on I decided the ring LEDs needs a lampshade. The side emission is too bright to look at for long periods of time. I added a for a shroud that mounts on top of the ring, on posts for the support arms. The loops are only 0.5 mm thick and there is extra space between the support and the ring. After attaching the ring to the support arms with the screws the shroud is held firmly in place. The shroud model is 11mm high. This will cover the full side of the LED assembly. If you want it shorter, simply stop printing at the desired height.
